Pastor John I. Davis, III is a third generation pastor – grandson of founders the late Superintendent John I. Davis, Sr. and Pastor Ella Street Davis and the son of Mother Iris W. Davis and former pastor, the late Pastor John I. Davis, Jr. He is married to Lady Raymonica Davis and they are the proud parents of two beautiful daughters, Joniyah and Jiyah.

Pastor John I. Davis, III, draws strength from his deep heritage and roots as he continues the divine work at Greater Faith Harvest Ministries. His love for the local church is evident through both the in-reach and out-reach ministries that are operable at GFH. He was ordained as a minister of the gospel in 2011 by Bishop Mark Walden, Church of God in Christ Northern Georgia Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. He has been blessed to teach, preach and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ over the years.

Davis received an athletic scholarship to Albany State University where he completed both, the Bachelor of Science in Business with emphasis on Marketing and the Masters of Public Administration with emphasis in Human Resource Management. He continued his formal educational training and received a Ph.D from Capella University in Organization and Management with specialization in Human Resource Management. He has continued his educational journey and investment in ministerial training through the completion of the C. H. Mason Institute and is continuing to engage in post-secondary Theological studies. His career path has led him to K-12 public education where he has been an elementary school

administrator, school system support personnel, served on numerous leadership teams and boards, and continues to excel in child development.

Pastor John I. Davis, III has a divine anointing and passion for ministry. He has served the local church in several capacities including: musician, Christian Education Director, Sunday School Superintendent, direct supports to his father and mother in ministry and many others. In December 2022, he was officially installed as pastor of Greater Faith Harvest Ministries. Serving in Northern Georgia Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction COGIC, Davis has also ministered at the state and district levels.

As with many local church leaders, Davis’ love for ministry, passion, tenacity, innovation and ultimately his faithfulness was challenged during the 2020 pandemic caused by COVID-19. God often uses challenging times too bless and inspire His called. This opened opportunities for GFH to expand media connections, upgrade ministry offerings, enhance presentation methods, employ non-traditional mission opportunities, and to ultimately update approach for ministry. Davis has learned, “How we do ministry may change, but the ‘what’ remains the same.” The unadulterated Gospel of Jesus Christ remains the message for Greater Faith Harvest Ministries.

A preacher, teacher, encourager, administrator, author and anointed by God, Pastor John I. Davis, III yet has work to do for Christ. Behind every great pastor stands and even greater group of Believers (congregation). Pastor Davis knows that it's God that gives promotions and all of his success has been because of the grace and mercy of God. Standing on 50+ years of prayer, investments, and God’s leading (as a ministry), Pastor Davis’ eyes into the future gives a promising look of the blessings of God that are to come to GFH.
